One of the traditions of the Olympics is the Olympic Torch. The Torch kicks off the count down to the Olympic Games this February 12th-23nd, 2010. It is a symbol of the games and one of the most watched events leading up to the Olympics.
The torch relay began on Ocober 30th, 2009, in Victoria,British Columbia. Festivities kicked off the event, and it is said that more than 10,000 people were in attendance. Fireworks, live music, and shows were just a few of the activities avaliable for viewing as citizens celebrated the kick off of the 106 day journey.
Although the torch will stay in Canada, it will be stopping in more than 1,000 cities. This map shows all the cities that it has stopped at and will stop at in the final days.
